Livestream with Union Broadcaster: The Complete Guide

If you are a creator or a teacher who will be using an iPhone, you'll be using Union's Broadcaster App! *NOTE: Recommend iOS 14 or higher

Union has put together a complete list to help you get setup by offering product recommendations to support for the day of your livestream!

Union Approved Gear

Before we built livestreaming at Union, we surveyed thousands of yoga students and found that audio quality was the most important thing to them–we didn't believe it at first, but when we thought about it, it makes complete sense. If you're practicing, you use your eyes some of the time but your ears all of the time. With millions on millions of minutes streamed since launch, we have heard that reaffirmed through post-class surveys and tickets we receive from end users.

Visit our Standard Gear Recommendation to choose the best setup for you and your business.

Setup your Gear and Test your Livestream

Once you have all of your gear, let's put it all together! We advise that when running any livestream test, you should be in your studio space, or where you'll be streaming your classes. This will provide you with more confidence that your stream quality is setup for success.

Step 1. Download Union's Broadcaster App

You will want to install Union's Broadcaster app to your iPhone. Please visit Setup Union's Broadcaster App for the complete setup! *Note: for anyone who will be streaming with an Android, please follow Livestream with Larix Broadcaster: Complete Guide

Out of the box, your camera should be ready! However, we may want to adjust some settings like your resolution. To see our full setup, please visit Setup your Camera for Union Broadcaster.

Step 3. Setup your Audio

Similar to your camera, you audio settings are set to a default mode so whether you're using AirPods or a Wireless mic, it should easily sync. Choose the appropriate article that fits your audio setup!
