Union Reporting Terms

Union’s terms have the same meaning throughout the software. We hope this reference guide can offer specific insight when familiarizing yourself with the Union reporting.


Term Description Examples
Active / Valid Now The state of the pricing option. On a customer’s account or Auto-Renew Report
Billed (Revenue)/Paid

Revenue that has already been invoiced for active subscriptions and/or payment plans.


Recurring Revenue Report (Projected Revenue)
Canceled When something has been canceled, it is no longer active. The following are some examples of what can be canceled by the customer or admin: registrations, passes, subscriptions.
Estimated Revenue

The estimated gross revenue, including fees paid by customers, for classes or events. This amount fluctuates, especially in the case of subscriptions, where the number of registrations during a billing cycle is not known in advance.

Failed Payment A customer's payment method is unable to process a charge (i.e: subscription). If your customer had a failed payment for a subscription, you will see a badge, Past Due. Learn more about Past Due/Failed Payments and How Union handles Declined Charges.
In Trial/Trialing The customer has not been billed but can use the auto-renew and will be billed in the future. On a customer’s account or Auto-Renew Report
Issued An account has acquired the type from when the account was created. The following are some examples of what can be Issued: Registration, Pass, Subscription.
Pending Cancel Subscriptions that are set to cancel but are still within the billing period. These subscriptions will stop renewing (billed) after the current period ends. On a customer’s account or Auto-Renew Report
Redeemed An account was marked as attending the event. The following are some examples of what can be Redeemed: Registration
Settled Revenue Final, confirmed revenue that has been stamped to a specific class, performance, or replay. Once revenue is settled, it is locked in and will no longer fluctuate. This ensures accurate reporting for teacher payouts and overall profitability.

Total Projected Revenue The sum of billed and upcoming revenue, representing the total expected revenue per month. Recurring Revenue Report (Projected Revenue)
Upcoming (Revenue) Expected revenue from subscriptions or payment plans that will be billed later in the month. Recurring Revenue Report (Projected Revenue)
