Segments based on Registrations

In Union, a registration can be:

  • Issued
  • Redeemed
  • Canceled

When working with segments based on registrations, the list seems endless! Examples for how you may use them could be you want to connect with people who have taken a class with a specific teacher, or maybe attended a specific event! Let's get you started with some of the basics!

Getting Started: Create a Segment

Begin by going to Segments > Create Segment > Data Driven Segment

Click to add the Name of your segment. While a description isn't necessary, Union does recommend including a tag to boost productivity.

Attended at Least One Performance

While you may have students who have attended many classes, if you need a list of people who have attended at least (1) class, this will be your go-to! You'll want to Edit your segment and choose the Event Condition. From here, you can search for registration_redeemed and then, click Save Segment.

Once this has saved, you'll see a list of accounts that meet this condition. You can click, View All, if you'd like to dive in deeper!

Milestone Attendance

If you're wanting to send an email to anyone who's attended a specific amount of classes, you can do this by clicking Refine, and then adjusting the amount of times.

Registration Redeemed in a Specific Amount of Days

There could be times when you want to reach folks who have attended a class within the past few days. In this example, you'll see how to capture a registration that was marked as redeemed within the past 7 days. Change this number for whatever data you're looking to capture!
