Build a Segment for a Specific Event or Appointment

If you're looking to gather a group of customer's who attended a specific event (i.e. notify about a schedule change, let them know about a related workshop/event, etc), you can create a segment to use as a trigger in your campaign or to send a one-time email notification.


Begin by going to Segments > Create Segment

You'll want to choose a Data Driven Segment

Add the name of your segment. While a description isn't necessary, Union does recommend including a tag to boost productivity.



The User Data will be an Event.


Then, you'll want to start by adding the Event condition, registration_redeemed as this will allow you to refine your condition.

Click, Add event data filter.

Next, search for event_name in the event_attribute_name drop-down.


Change the default String or Number (is equal to) to a String called contains.


Finally, add the name of your event and click Save Changes.



Once saved, you should see the people on the right. If you would like to check (recommended), click on the bolded number of people, to see your list.
