Using the Custom Questions Attribute in Customer.io
If you have created custom questions in your Union Settings, you can access these attributes in Customer.io when searching for an Attribute. All custom questions will begin with cq_
Step-by-Step Segment Build
Begin by going to Segments > Create Segment | |
You'll want to choose a Data Driven Segment | |
Add the name of your segment. While a description isn't necessary, Union does recommend including a tag to boost productivity. |
You'll start by adding the condition as an, Attribute. From here, you can either begin typing cq (for custom question) or scroll till you find your desired custom question listed.
In this example, the custom question in Union was a dropdown box for people to choose from. I'm wanting to send an email to folks who chose "Atelier Teacher" as the answer.
Over in Customer.io, I'm going to add the name of the answer, "Atelier Teacher" as my value and click Save. Now, this segment is ready to be used in a campaign, broadcast, goal, and more!
