Best Practices for Passes

Whether creating a pass, subscription, or a payment plan, there are a few best practices Union has seen work well!

Make it Easy to Understand

Keep your pass names and descriptions clear and easy to understand. Think about a new student who's browsing your site. They may not be familiar with yoga or your studio. While having fun and catchy names may match you and your brand (or helpful from the marketing perspective), see if you can find a balance. You're looking for people to see your pricing options and clearly know and understand what they're purchasing.

Keep it Clean

There's nothing more overwhelming than seeing ton's of pricing options on a single page and not knowing which is which. In Union, you have (2) primary locations where someone can see your pricing options.

We recommend keeping your passes page to showcase your regular offerings (Drop-Ins, Class Packs, New Student Specials, Subscriptions). Any specialty passes (i.e. workshops, trainings) can be shown in the registration flow only.

Here's an example, you have a weekly class that offers a donation price. If this were listed on your "All Passes" page, someone may purchase it but not know what to apply it towards. By keeping this pass only visible in the registration flow, you can keep your passes page clean but also ensure everyone's seeing the correct purchase options during the registration flow.

Description Pro-Tips & Samples

We strongly advise providing detailed descriptions of what your pricing offers entail. Consider including descriptions of different pass types in the order confirmation email. While this level of detail may seem excessive for some options, it can offer added benefits for pricing options such as subscriptions and class packs.

Keeping the description concise and to the point, and including information on how and where customers can cancel and view the refund policy, can be helpful in addressing any additional questions or refund requests from customers.

We recommend including your refund policies in your waiver! Where you see Cancellation & Refund Policy, we advise linking to your waiver or your website that clearly outlines these policies.

If you are on a Union branded site, please visit My Account > Passes. You can copy this link and add it to your pass details. Most links in the My Account section are what we call Universal links and will apply to your customers accounts.

In-Person Drop-In

• Can be use for (1) In-Person class.
• Pass will expire (1) Month from purchase date. 
• If a registration is canceled or the class is canceled, your registration credit will automatically be returned to use for a future class of your choice. 

Class Pack

• Can be used for (10) registrations of your choice; In-Person or Virtual 
• Pass will expire 10 Months from purchase date. 
• If a registration is canceled or if the class is canceled, your registration credit will automatically be returned for use towards a future class of your choice.

New Student Special

• Unlimited Access to all In-Person and Virtual Yoga Classes
• 15% off a Massage or a Yoga Private Appointment
• (1) Buddy Pass

Specialty Pass

• Can be use for (5) In-Person Yoga Privates
• Pass will expire 6 Months from purchase date. 
• If a registration is canceled or the class is canceled, your registration credit will automatically be returned to use for a future class of your choice. 
• If a cancelation is needed outside our regular cancellation policy, a $5 late cancel fee will be charged. 

Monthly Unlimited (Non Auto-Renew)

• Unlimited monthly access for In-Person and Virtual classes (livestreams, video calls, and replays)
• Pass will expire 1 Month from purchase date. 

Retreats

1. Spacious shared suites, each thoughtfully designed to offer comfort and relaxation. Each suite accommodates four participants, providing a harmonious balance between privacy and community.
2. In-Suite Bathroom: Your shared suite includes a private bathroom for your convenience, ensuring you have a comfortable and hygienic space.
3. Storage Space: Each participant has access to personal storage space within the suite, allowing you to keep your belongings organized.
4. Access to All Retreat Inclusions: As a shared suite guest, you have full access to all retreat inclusions, including daily yoga yoga and mindfulness sessions. 
5. Fresh Prepared Meals: We will have an onsite chief who will be creating a meal plan for this retreat.

Workshops

Access to all yoga and creative writing classes in the series. Immerse yourself in transformative Vinyasa Flow, enriching meditation sessions, and guided creative writing workshops. Embrace the power of movement, mindfulness, and self-expression within The Yoga Scribe community through this all-inclusive pass.

*You will have access to all replays within this series for 1 year. 

*Cancelations & Refunds can be accommodated for up until 14 days of the class and for any questions, please contact support@unionsatelier.com.

Subscription/Payment Plan Description Samples

Sample 1: All Access Unlimited

• Unlimited monthly access for In-Person and Virtual classes (livestreams, video calls, and replays)
• (1) All Access Premium Guest Pass per month
• Receive 10% off any workshop or yoga by appointment
• Receive 5% off any spa treatment
• Special discounts for immersions/intensives Access to atelier's member-only community app

Sample 2: Specialty Subscription (i.e. Limited Registrations per Month)

• 5 In-Person Registrations 
• Unlimited access for virtual classes 
• Subscribers can cancel at any time (cancellation/refund policy), or reach out to support@unionsatelier.com for assistance! 

Sample 3: Virtual Unlimited

• Unlimited monthly access for any Virtual classes (livestreams, video calls, and replays)
• Special discounts for virtual immersions/intensives
• Access to atelier's member-only community app

Sample 4: Payment Plan

• Admin Fee: $50 administrative fee per installment. This fee is non-refundable and covers the administrative costs associated with setting up the payment plan.
• Installment Structure: The total cost of the YTT program is divided into three equal installments, payable over three months. The initial installment is due at the time of registration to secure your spot in the program.
• Automatic Payments: Subsequent payments will occur automatically on the same day each month following your registration. Example, if you register on the 1st of the month, your initial installment will be due immediately, and the following payments will be automatically processed on the 1st of the next two months.
