Best Practices for Passes
Whether creating a pass, subscription, or a payment plan, there are a few best practices Union has seen work well!
Make it Easy to Understand
Keep your pass names and descriptions clear and easy to understand. Think about a new student who's browsing your site. They may not be familiar with yoga or your studio. While having fun and catchy names may match you and your brand (or helpful from the marketing perspective), see if you can find a balance. You're looking for people to see your pricing options and clearly know and understand what they're purchasing.
Keep it Clean
There's nothing more overwhelming than seeing ton's of pricing options on a single page and not knowing which is which. In Union, you have (2) primary locations where someone can see your pricing options.

We recommend keeping your passes page to showcase your regular offerings (Drop-Ins, Class Packs, New Student Specials, Subscriptions). Any specialty passes (i.e. workshops, trainings) can be shown in the registration flow only.
Here's an example, you have a weekly class that offers a donation price. If this were listed on your "All Passes" page, someone may purchase it but not know what to apply it towards. By keeping this pass only visible in the registration flow, you can keep your passes page clean but also ensure everyone's seeing the correct purchase options during the registration flow.
Description Pro-Tips & Samples
We strongly advise providing detailed descriptions of what your pricing offers entail. Consider including descriptions of different pass types in the order confirmation email. While this level of detail may seem excessive for some options, it can offer added benefits for pricing options such as subscriptions and class packs.
Keeping the description concise and to the point, and including information on how and where customers can cancel and view the refund policy, can be helpful in addressing any additional questions or refund requests from customers.
We recommend including your refund policies in your waiver! Where you see Cancellation & Refund Policy, we advise linking to your waiver or your website that shows these clearly.

In-Person Drop-In
- Can be use for (1) In-Person class.
- Pass will expire (1) Month from purchase date.
- If a registration is canceled or the class is canceled, your registration credit will automatically be returned to use for a future class of your choice.
Class Pack
- Can be used for (10) registrations of your choice; In-Person or Virtual
- Pass will expire 10 Months from purchase date.
- If a registration is canceled or if the class is canceled, your registration credit will automatically be returned for use towards a future class of your choice.
Specialty Pass
- Can be use for (5) In-Person Yoga Privates
- Pass will expire 6 Months from purchase date.
- If a registration is canceled or the class is canceled, your registration credit will automatically be returned to use for a future class of your choice.
- If a cancelation is needed outside our regular cancellation policy, a $5 late cancel fee will be charged.
Monthly Unlimited (Non Auto-Renew)
- Unlimited monthly access for In-Person and Virtual classes (livestreams, video calls, and replays)
- Pass will expire 1 Month from purchase date.
