Setup the Larix Broadcaster for your iPhone
Welcome to the guide on configuring Larix for an exceptional livestreaming experience. Follow these steps to ensure your stream is delivered with the best possible quality. Let's get started!
- Check Internet Speed
- Begin by running an Internet Speedtest and note down your Upload speed. Aim for 6-10Mbps for optimal streaming quality.
- Open Larix and Grant Permissions
- Click on the Larix icon to launch the app.
- Allow the application to access your camera and media
- Configure Broadcasting Settings
- Ensure your camera is providing video feed. Click the gear icon in the top-right corner.
- Create a New Connection
- Tap 'Connections' and then the plus [+] icon to establish a new connection.
- If you've received a Stream Key via email, copy the link starting with rtmp and paste it into Larix.
- Verify there are no spaces at the beginning or end of the URL.
- Add a name for the connection (e.g., Union or studio space name) and input the Stream Key.
- Save your work
- Adjust Video Resolution
- Go to 'Video' settings.
- Select 'Resolution':
- For upload speeds of 10mbps or higher, choose 1920x1080.
- For upload speeds between 6mbps-10mbps, opt for 1280x720.
- Optimize Video Mode
- Scroll down and click on 'Mode' under 'ADAPTIVE BITRATE STREAMING'.
- Choose 'Ladder Ascend' and return to the 'Video' section.
- Fine-Tune Settings
- At the top, click 'Settings' and then 'Back' to return to Larix.
- Additional Setup for Audio Devices
- If you're using Bluetooth earbuds, refer to 'Setup Bluetooth Earbuds for Larix'.
- For wireless microphones, consult 'Setup Rode Wireless Go II for Larix'.
