Setup the Larix Broadcaster for your iPhone

  • Check Internet Speed
    • Begin by running an Internet Speedtest and note down your Upload speed. Aim for 6-10Mbps for optimal streaming quality.
  • Open Larix and Grant Permissions
    • Click on the Larix icon to launch the app.
    • Allow the application to access your camera and media
  • Configure Broadcasting Settings
    • Ensure your camera is providing video feed. Click the gear icon in the top-right corner.

  • Create a New Connection
    • Tap 'Connections' and then the plus [+] icon to establish a new connection.

    • If you've received a Stream Key via email, copy the link starting with rtmp and paste it into Larix.

    • Verify there are no spaces at the beginning or end of the URL.
    • Add a name for the connection (e.g., Union or studio space name) and input the Stream Key.
    • Save your work
  • Adjust Video Resolution
    • Go to 'Video' settings.
    • Select 'Resolution':
      • For upload speeds of 10mbps or higher, choose 1920x1080.
      • For upload speeds between 6mbps-10mbps, opt for 1280x720.
  • Optimize Video Mode
    • Scroll down and click on 'Mode' under 'ADAPTIVE BITRATE STREAMING'.
    • Choose 'Ladder Ascend' and return to the 'Video' section.
