Stripe Reader Won't Connect to Wi-Fi
If you are having challenges connecting your reader to wifi or you can connect your reader to wifi but cannot connect it to Union, please begin by preforming this test:
- Turn on your mobile hotspot
- Connect the reader to your hotspot
- Connect your POS to your hotspot
- Complete the step up
While we don't expect you to run your transactions over a hotspot, this can give us an indicator that it's not with the device itself. Here are some suggestions to see if you're able to resolve immediately.
Preform a Factory Reset
Hold down both blue buttons on each side for approx. 15s. The reader should restart on it's own.
- Swipe right from the left edge of the reader screen if you are not prompt to connect to wifi.
- Tap the Settings button and enter the admin PIN

- From here, see if you can connect to your WiFi
- If so, continue with the step up process
