Setup Union's Broadcaster App for your iPhone

Install Union’s Broadcaster App

Once downloaded, click Open or tap on the Union Broadcaster icon to open the app. *Note: for anyone who will be streaming with an Android, please follow Broadcast a Livestream from your Android Phone

Enter your Union account user name (email) and password and click Sign In

Allow the app to use your camera and access your microphone

Livestream Test

In order to run a test livestream, you (or your admin team) will need to create a test event in Union. When the event has been created, pop in your airpods (or bluetooth mic) and open up the Union Broadcaster app to then select Setup.

Before you start your stream (and before each class) it is recommended you do a speed test. 

Great news, you can do this while in app and only takes a moment! Click Settings and then select Speed Test

Your results 

You will see both your download and upload speed. We recommend you show at least 10Mbps as the upload speed for a high quality stream. Once you have your results, click the back arrow in the upper left corner. 

Select Events

You should your test event below Starting Soon. Click on your test performance.

You should see the performance details at the top. 15 mins before any livestream, you can click Start.

Shortly after you’ll see a notification that says Streaming. 

In the upper right hand corner, you’ll be able to see the duration of the livestream along with the stream info (internet speed). There’s an audio meter in the lower left corner to test your mic! When you have completed your test (or class), click the circle to end. 

In the upper left corner, you will see a notification that states Disconnecting…

You'll see one final status stating Stream Ended
