SMS for Customer.io (Twilio)
To get started, you will need to create a Twilio account. Please visit Customer.io's details around getting started with Twilio.
If you have an existing Twilio account, you should be able to add your Twilio creds (Account SID and Auth Token) to your Customer.io account.
Add your Twilio Details
Visit your settings > workspace settings. | |
Click, Get Started, against the Twilio SMS. You will then be prompted to add your Account SID and Auth Token. |
New to Twilio
If you do not have a Twilio account, you will need to create a new account to get started. Once you have created your account, you will need to complete the compliance path in order to send SMS and MMS messages. Learn how to register your account to use A2P-10 DLC Messaging. In order to send SMS and MMS messages to the U.S. using 10DLC phone numbers, all messages must be sent via an approved application-to-person (A2P) Campaign. Any unregistered U.S.-bound messages will be blocked. To see which of your numbers are compliant, you may check the registration status of your phone numbers. Every campaign is connected to a registered A2P Brand and a Messaging Service. Once successfully registered, you will be able to associate your 10DLC numbers with the connected Messaging Service to avail A2P Messaging benefits and avoid any carrier penalties for unregistered messaging.
