International Stripe Fees

Stripe currently charges 2.9% + $.30 per successful card charge. If your customers are using an international credit card, Stripe currently adds 1%. You only pay a set amount at the order level when on Union. However, someone needs to pay Stripe. Union pays the difference.

If you see a negative Union fee in your CSV report, this is likely due to your customer using an international credit card.

Where this can stand out is if the customer obtains a payment plan. Currently, Union deducts our fees on the first order (when the customer purchases the payment plan). Each payment made after, Stripe still collects their amount while Union collects $0. If your customer is using an international card, Stripe adds an additional 1%. Union pays the difference for you.
