Create an Audio-only Version of a Replay

You may want to create an audio-only version of an event that you've hosted, for inclusion in a podcast or for distributing outside of Union.

To do this, first go to Products > Replays and download the replay.

When the replay is ready to download, you'll receive an email with a link, and click to download the replay. Union will send you an email that will have a link to download your replay. This download link will remain valid for 24 hours. Pro-tip: After you click download, you will be sent an email, however, if you click download again, it should download to your device instantly.

Now, to convert to an MP3 (or other audio file format), you'll want to download VLC, a free tool for audio and video.

Once VLC is downloaded and installed on your computer, open it and select File -> Convert / Stream (these screenshots are from a Mac but are pretty much the same steps on Windows):

Click 'Open media...' and choose the replay you just downloaded:

Then, under 'Choose Profile' pick the 'Audio - MP3' format (or another, if you want something different from MP3):

Then, click 'Save File' and VLC will create a version of your file in that format to a destination of your choosing:

Once you have your MP3, you can upload this in Union in your Replays! You can either create a new event category to house all of your audio only files (pictured below) or simply choose an existing event category!
